had been feeling so down last week. not sure why guess it was just being in a new house and feeling really tired. the weekend with phil did me wonders. was great just to get away and spend time with phil doing not alot and spending time walking around in a beautiful city.
came back feeling a very different person and had two great teaching days at collage. went ice skating on monday night which was great. really enjoyed it apart from when jo put ice down the back of my jumper!
back home and still feeing happy apart from the ever annoying ending to the second series of lost!! why do i watch it? its so infuriating.
got a very excitng day tomoz. firstly because its my day off and im spend time focusing my life back on God. secondly because i have a eeting with some local youth workers who i think are connected with the YMCA who are intersted in Top Croft estate where ive been working and praying for the last year. very exciting.
not so exciting is the fact i wanted to do washing tomoz but have nowhere to put wet clothes if the weather is no good mmmmmmmm

yay got internet in our house today! sat at my new desk in my new room in my new house typing on my new (churchs) laptop! all very exciting. hd such a busy week but ive finally reached some time off and have no more work until friday morning!
and then im off to see phil in the evening for the weekend.
managed to get to nottingham in one piece and back again which was great!
all the work starts next week so making the most of this one!

not so tired today but have had a very busy day. tesco did not help this be claiming that my card was not valid tender and therefore i had to go to the bank only to find out nothing was wrong with me but it was all tesco fault before going back to tesco to pay for my petrol in cash!
still had the biggest and tastiest sub in the world for lunch which put me in a great mood for sorting out my room. am now all sorted except for a few pictures that still need to go up. we dont have any hot water till tomoz and internet arrives on wed (am currently back at home picking up stuff i forgot) but we do now have electricity!
well better get going as i still have that essay to write and directions to find for tomoz!

moved my stuff into my new house today but didnt have a hance to sort it so its all dumped in a heap. not looking forward to walking in there tomoz! tomorrow could be a very busy day as need to sort room and house aswell as writting essay and preparing for uni! and im still so tired!

God is so amazing! He blessed me with an amazing sense of peace this week so at no point was i nervous and He's blessed me with an amazing group of friends in my class. the residential was great, a brilliant way to kick off my uni course. the people were great and most of the lectures were ok. food wasnt bad either but a bit repetitive- rice, potato, veg and meat in a sauce that tasted very similar each day for tea. but cant complain cos i didnt pay for any of it! the rooms were depressing and id hate to be the persn living in it for a whole year. there was even asbestos in the window sill- nice.
pick up the keys to my new house today so need to start packing my stuff for the move tomoz. phil went this morning so spent yesterday trying to help him pack.
really tired- very little sleep was to be had on residential and havent been able to catch up really, might have to have an afternoon nap...

well today is the day i start uni! off for a four day residential down in Oxford, which is apparently the best thing ever according to people already on the course.
i think ive packed everything i need but im going to go and pack a few extra forms and letters just to be sure!
cant belive im acually going. can tell it hasnt sunk in yet cos im not nervous at the moment... i dont think.
hehe well better go and finish getting ready or ill be late

went to look around my new house today. oh so very excited! despite the letting people getting to us an hour late i was still excited about the house. it's big and my room is great! bigger than i thort! the boiler is tiny and i also get a bed, wardrobe, desk and drawers. there are a few things that need sorting in the house but the landlord is supposed to be sorting it before we move in next week. it's not a downstairs room either which is ace. so very excited. lucy and rich were there too so got to know them bit more.

also just paid my deposit and first months rent which was little scary as dont know if i have that much in the account! better check quick otherwise i cant move in. lol
well it's a gorgeous sunny day which i've spent today doing work stuff so i'm going to whizz the hoover round and then go see phil, who is still no longer in ghana yay!

cant belive i actually start uni this coming monday in four days! really hasnt sunk in.
get to see my new house tomorrow which im quite exctied about. met up with two and a half of my house mates on tuesday who seem great! and the best bit it there will be five girls in the house so hopefully it will stay quite tidy! (phils also quite pleased)
the house was apparently trashed by the last tennents so is being done up ready for our move in which is also scarily close. cant believe im moving out after all this time. really is quite strange to think the time has arrived at last.
ive apparently got the boiler room. arent i the lucky one. my new house mates tried to convince me that this is the room of power as i can alter the heating should anyone annoy me. also debating how big it will be. just enough room for a bed, the boiler and my hi fi (which is now 8 years old so quite massive in comparison to the new ones!)
still i asked for student life and it looks like that is exactly what God has given me!

well im back officially to work today with my first meeting of the year.
also going to the letting agency today with my new house mates which is a little scary. paul cant come with me (my boss in charge of finance stuff) so debating whether it would be too wussy to take phil instead!
took my glasses into specsavers yesterday to get new lenses which means im without them for a week. mmmm didnt realise how much i wore them inbetween my contacts until this morning.
on a good note i spent a great day with phil yesterday, went for a walk in the park, looks like summer has returned for a bit before autumn kicks in

yay! phil came home in one piece and is still amazing! he also managed to bring home three african drums and a chair in his luggage! must have had one of those mary poppins bags.
also had the leaver' do at st mikes last night which was great fun.
I start uni a week today which is a very frightening prospect for two reasons 1) i reckon that im going to forget some important paper work or miss some deadline or other and get in massive trouble with uni and 2) i have to make new freinds for the first time in 7 years!
well id better get going to see my amazing man and check he really did come home

hehe drove past my potential student house yesterday and it screams 'studnet'! still very exciting that i might ctualy be moving out and getting to live with people my own age. hopefully get to look around the inside soon, otherwise it'll be when i move in. wonder whcih room i'll have...

another exciting thing that happened yesterday was that i booked my coach ticket to heathrow! yay! despite the internets best efforts of breaking down i still mamnaged to get a ticket that leaves at 3am sunday morning to get me to heathrow half an hour before phil lands. oh so very excited! plan on making flap jack this afternoon as an energy source for us all tomoz morning!
